Once at Pointe Baptiste Chocolate Factory, we will learn how chocolate is produced from bean to bar right here in Dominica using locally sourced cocoa beans. Sample the different flavors of chocolate such as ginger, hot pepper or lemongrass chocolate before we head over to Red Rocks. It is an amazing and other worldly experience that makes you feel as if you have just stepped onto Mars! Next, we will be stopping at a local Gin Distillery to learn how it is made using Dominica’s Natural Botanicals such as cinnamon, cocoa & nutmeg before going to relax at Hodges Beach, a stunning golden sand beach. Today ends with a refreshing Afternoon swim at Chaudiere Pool, a natural swimming hole carved out of grey rock and surrounded by rainforest.

Day 3

Boats & Beaches

After Breakfast, meet the boat captain for an enjoyable coastal sea day. Bring your bathing suit and don’t forget your sunblock because we are headed to a secret beach after searching for whales and dolphins. Sit back and enjoy the view of the breathtaking coastline, beaches, mountains, valleys and ridges. We will go to fantastic locations to spot whales, dolphins and seabirds. Sperm Whales reside off Dominica shores all year long so there is a high chance of spotting one. You may also see humpback whales, Pilot Whales, Pantropical Spotted Dolphins and Bottlenose Dolphins just to name a few. Watch out for the fish! Keep your eye out for the many fish that also reside here such as Yellowfin, Marlin and Tarpon. Some very large fish have been caught in these waters by local village fisherman. After our boat ride we’ll have a lovely lunch on the beach while looking out into the horizon.

Breakfast- Dinner Included

Day 4

Mero, Trafalgar & Titou Gorge

Once at Ti Tou Gorge, you will swim where Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed.  Next we’ll have a tasty local lunch and relax before our snorkel adventure at Champagne Reef. This is a special reef that makes you feel as if you’re swimming in a glass of champagne. The bubbles are created by the volcanic vents lying just below the sea floor. Grab your snorkel and go check out all the colorful fish that live here! On our way back to Picard, we will stop at Mero for a snack and a tropical drink. Enjoy the sounds of the ocean!

Well also see other birds such as the Blue Headed Hummingbird, the Antillean Crested Hummingbird, and the Roufus Throated Solitaire. After our bird-watching adventure, the beautiful Milton Falls awaits us, standing over 100ft. Get out your cameras and snap some selfies in front of this magnificent waterfall before we end our day at a relaxing and picturesque beach called Douglas Bay Beach.
