Don’t forget to taste some! Next we go to Emerald Pool, an invigorating natural rock pool under an impressive 40 ft. waterfall. Swim under the waterfall or relax on the deck and listen to the sounds of the rainforest. Check out the tropical plants in their natural habitat surrounding the Emerald Pool to discover why this magical gem gets its name. Next, we will have lunch at the exquisite Pagua Bay House where you can take a dip in a pool that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean before we visit Jaco Falls.

Day 3
Birding, Horseback & Beach
Today we’re off to search for the endemic and critically endangered Sisserou Parrot with the birding specialist of Dominica! How exciting! This colorful parrot lives only in the canopy of Dominica and is also the national bird as it is represented on the Flag. We will also look for the Jaco Parrot and the Kalinago Wren, also endemic birds of Dominica. We’ll see other birds, such as the Blue Headed Hummingbird, the Antillean Crested Hummingbird, and the Roufus Throated Solitaire. After our bird-watching adventure, a beautiful waterfall awaits us, Milton Falls, standing over 100ft. Get out your cameras and snap some selfies with the ladies in front of this magnificent waterfall. We will have lunch at Fort Shirley, located in Cabrits National Park before learning about the history of this old garrison built in the 18th century. Many revolts took place for control over the island and fights for freedom in this very spot. The rest of the day will be spent horseback riding in the sea and relaxing at the beach while listening to the lulling tropical sounds before sunset. *Tonight, we will stay overnight at a beach hotel located in Portsmouth.

We will also learn the traditional methods of basket weaving and Cassava bread baking before lunch. Next we will experience the rainforest from another viewpoint by gliding down the Pagua River. Hop on your inner tube, drink in hand, and let’s go! On this adventure we will meander down the river listening to the tropical sounds of the rainforest.

We will head over to Fond Cani this morning for our exciting canyoning adventure. Don’t worry, canyoning is for any level of experience (or no experience) so grab your waterproof camera and the ladies and let’s go! We will stop to change before heading down to Roseau for a wonderful view overlooking the city from the top of Morne Bruce before settling in for a laid-back dining experience.

Day 6
Middleham, TiTou & Mineral Spa
Today we visit the Morne Trois Piton National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Lush tropical vegetation and the sounds of songbirds surround you on this empowering hike to Middleham Falls. This is the tallest waterfall on the island at an impressive 270 ft. The hike will take us through dense rainforest and muddy trails so be sure to pack your dirtiest hiking shoes. After lunch you will arrive at Ti Tou Gorge and swim in the same location where Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed before visiting Trafalgar Falls. The beauty of these falls is that there are two of them, also known as the mama and papa falls. Next, we’ll visit the warm mineral springs, where you will sit back and relax in the healing geothermal spring water.
Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner Included
Day 7
Cocoa Farm, Chocolate & Relax
Today we leave Wotton Waven and begin our journey to the southeast side of the island. We will arrive at a Cocoa Farm and learn how chocolate is produced from bean to bar right here in Dominica using locally sourced cocoa beans. Try the different flavors and styles of chocolate such as cocoa nibs, bars, cocoa gin and cocoa tea! After we have put our cacao pod picking and chocolate making skills to the test, we will take a scenic drive back to our hotel where you may decide to rest, swim, relax or explore before dinner.
Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner Included
Day 8
Rum, Zip Line & Turtles
We will visit a local rum distillery and learn how this rum is made using sustainable practices. We will also gain an understanding of the importance of Sea Turtle Conservation and how this distillery is helping to contribute to that endeavor. Next we will stop for lunch before our Zip lining adventure to the private Flockys Waterfall located within Newfoundland Estate. Afterwards we will head back to our hotel, get ready for dinner and prepare for our exciting experience on the beach looking for turtle hatchlings with experienced turtle conservation professionals.
Although this is the season for the hatchlings emergence, there is an unfortunate possibility that we might not see any Sea Turtles since it is a time sensitive biological occurrence of laying and hatching eggs.

Since changes are considered canceled services, additional cancellation penalties may apply. Changes are subject to additional hotel charges based on availability and may incur additional fees. Changes to airfare are subject to the carrier’s Terms and Conditions and are not the obligation of FFCT.
If you are unable to complete the tour due to an inability to maintain the speed necessary to keep up with the tour group of participants, or due to any physical limitation, there shall be no refunds owed if you are unable or prevented from completing the tour.
Cancellation
As described above, FFCT is required to pay certain suppliers well in advance of your tour date. This includes but is not limited to hotel accommodations, meals, entrance fees, transportation, etc. All suppliers have their own cancellation policies, which apply to your booking. Should a cancellation become necessary, please inform FFCT immediately in writing and request a written confirmation of your cancellation. Upon receipt, FFCT will follow industry procedures for any applicable refunds as outlined in the supplier’s terms and conditions and subject to their review. If you are entitled to a refund, please note that the supplier is responsible for this refund, not FFCT. Likewise, we are not responsible for a supplier’s failure to pay a refund, their insolvency or bankruptcy.
In addition to the terms of our suppliers, refunds for any monies paid to FFCT will be refundable for cancellations per the cancellation table below, less any non-refundable payments/deposits made by FFCT to our Suppliers. Also deducted from the net refundable amount will be any adjustments for room rate changes created by the cancellation (i.e., double to single, etc.) NO REFUNDS, for any reason will be paid for cancellations received 45 days or less from the departure date.
Since FFCT will pay certain deposits and costs to suppliers prior to the date of travel, FFCT will assess the following cancellation charges as follows:
Relevant Cancellation Times | Cancellation Charge Per Person |
61+ days | 100% refund, less non-refundable deposit |
46 to 60 days | 50% refund, less non-refundable deposit |
45 days or less | No refund |
If the reason for cancellation is covered under the terms of your travel protection plan you may be able to reclaim these charges, for this reason FFCT requires the purchase of a travel protection plan including additional “cancel for any reason” coverage.
Airline tickets are governed by the air carriers’ terms, and we are not responsible for any air carrier’s decision regarding refund.
Cancellation or Changes by FFCT
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any departure for any reason. If we cancel, except in the case of a force majeure event, we will offer alternate arrangements. We may at our sole discretion offer travel vouchers or refunds in accordance with the cancellation schedule above. Participants are responsible for any additional costs for air tickets or other travel arrangements not made by us.
If between planning time and/or during actual travel, circumstances require changes, FFCT and its suppliers, reserve the right to cancel or vary any itinerary and substitute components of any tour, including but not limited to hotels and accommodations of comparable quality, if air schedule or surface transportation charges, security matters, and/or other events make such alterations necessary. Suppliers may substitute transportation equipment depending on any variety of factors, including the volume of passengers on the tour. FFCT cannot be held responsible for any closures, necessary itinerary changes, or curtails for any reason. These changes will not be considered material changes and will not be considered cause for cancellation by the participant. Normal cancellation penalties still apply to the tour that has been changed.
NO REFUND FOR UNUSED ARRANGEMENTS. As FFCT prices are based on contract rates, there will not be any refund for any unused portion of a travel booking. If you cancel while the tour is in progress, there is no refund for the unused portion.
