Chasing Waterfalls -
If you love spending your days chasing waterfalls and getting lost in rainforests, then this trip is for you. Our Chasing Waterfalls tour will take you to some of the most beautiful waterfalls in Dominica as well as introduce you to local culture and local living. You will also get the chance to spend three nights in the wilds of the rainforest, under the stars and right in the heart of nature. This is not just a sightseeing tour; this is an exciting and immersive experience that will be sure to live on in your memories. Day 1: Hello Dominica & Welcome Dinner
Arrive at Douglas Charles Airport where your transport driver will be waiting for you. Enjoy a scenic drive around the north coast as you are transported to your hotel. Sip on a tropical refreshing drink while you are escorted to your apartment. Settle in and explore the surrounding area before meeting your fellow travelers at your welcome dinner this evening. Day 2: Fort Shirley, Horseback Riding & Toucari Bay
Located in Cabrits National Park stands Fort Shirley. Learn about the history within the walls of Fort Shirley, an old garrison built in the 18th century, where many revolts took place over control of the island and fights for freedom. Leaving Fort Shirley, we will mount our horses and go for a ride in Prince Rupert Bay where you will enjoy the warm tropical ocean waters and the peaceful scenic views. A tasty lunch at a locally owned restaurant with beach-front views and the option of going swimming is next up on our agenda of adventures for today at Toucari Beach. Day 3: Rum Distillery, Victoria Falls & Rasta Herbal Garden
Today we begin our journey to the southeast side of the island. After breakfast, we will visit a local rum distillery and learn how this rum is made using sustainable practices. We will also gain an understanding of the importance of Sea Turtle Conservation and how this distillery is helping to contribute to that endeavor. Next, we will move on to the beautiful Zion Valley where our guide will take us to the amazing Victoria Falls. Have a nice relaxing soak in the bright blue water pool under the Falls before we head back for an Ital lunch at The Rastarant. After lunch we will enjoy a guided walk through a delightful herbal garden while we learn about the traditional remedies and medicines provided by the land before heading over to our Eco Lodge where we will be spending the next 3 nights. Day 4: Sari Sari Falls, Zip Lining & Sustainable Living
Start your day with a refreshing morning dip in the river before breakfast. Our adventure starts with a hike to Sari Sari Falls, a 250-foot waterfall located in LaPlaine. This hike will take approximately 3 hours to complete. This hike takes us along a river so, stop and swim whenever you wish. At the conclusion of Sari Sari Falls we will stop for lunch on the beach before our zip-line adventure back to the Eco- Lodge. Once back at the lodge, you can join the sustainability discussion led by the owner of the lodge and discover the best eco friendly practices for building in the rainforest. Day 5: Cocoa Cascades Waterfall, 3 Basins Swimming & Fond Morgan Falls
Before breakfast, opt to attend the early morning Coconuts hike to Three Rivers Falls and get a refreshing start to your day! After breakfast, we will be visiting Cocoa Cascades, which will take us on a one hour walk from the property prior to arriving at the Rosalie Three Basins Swimming pools. Our last adventure of the day will be after lunch when we take a very short walk through the rainforest and reach Fond Morgan Waterfall. Breakfast Included / Dinner Included
Day 6: Dernier Falls, Coal Pot Soaps & Geneva Heritage Site
Our day begins with our last breakfast at the Eco-Lodge before we pack up and begin our trip back to Picard. On the way, we will stop at Dernier Falls in Grand Fond, a 30-minute rainforest hike to a small waterfall. Next, at Geneva Heritage site, we will learn about the Geneva Uprising of 1974 and what it meant to the people of Grand Bay in the south of Dominica before visiting The Coal Pot Soaps Manufacturer. We will see how this business hand crafts natural soaps using herbs and pure essential oils. After The Coal Pot we will stop for lunch before we begin our scenic journey back North. Day 7: Bwa Nef Falls, Red Rocks & Chocolate Factory
Start the day with an invigorating 20-minute hike to one of the more secluded yet awe inspiring waterfall in Dominica, Bwa Nef Falls. This waterfall can be so powerful, it can literally take your breath away the closer you get to it. At Pointe Baptiste Chocolate Factory, we will learn how chocolate is produced from bean to bar right here in Dominica using locally sourced cocoa beans. Sample the different flavors of chocolate such as ginger chocolate, hot pepper chocolate or even lemongrass chocolate! Next, we will stop at Red Rocks, which is an amazing and other worldly experience, like stepping onto Mars! These oxidized geological formations that protrude into the ocean also have caves that you can explore, so make sure not to miss this! Breakfast Included
Day 8: Canyoning & Warm Mineral Pools
Breakfast will be at a lovely restaurant overlooking the Caribbean Sea before heading to Roseau Valley for our exciting canyoning adventure. Discover your inner adventurer far beneath the sunlit canopy of the rainforest. Don’t Worry, canyoning is for any level of experience, even if you have never done it before, you’ll be in good hands with experienced professional canyoning guides. After half a day of canyoning, sit back and relax with a local lunch and a dip in the warm mineral pools that will soothe your muscles after the day’s adventure. Day 9: River Tubing, Spanny Falls & Emerald Pool
After Breakfast, experience the rainforest from another viewpoint by gliding down the Pagua River. Get on your inner tube, drink in hand, and let’s go! On this adventure we will meander down the river listening to the tropical sounds of the rainforest. Don’t forget your waterproof camera! After our tubing experience, we will visit a couple of easy-to-get -to waterfalls before heading to the Emerald Pool. Swim in the invigorating pool under the impressive 40 ft. Waterfall or relax on the deck while listening to the sounds of the forest. Be sure to check out the tropical plants in their natural habitat along the short trail to the Emerald Pool and find out why this magical gem gets its name. Breakfast Included / Dinner Included
Day 10: Whale Watching & Beach Day
Sperm Whales reside off Dominica shores all year long and today you’re going to try to spot at least one. You may also see humpback whales, Pilot Whales, Pantropical Spotted Dolphins and Bottlenose Dolphins just to name a few. Don’t forget the fish! Keep your eye out for the many fish that also reside here such as Yellowfin, Marlin and Tarpon. Some very large fish have been caught in these waters by local village fisherman. Next up for today we are going to relax at the beach and enjoy the glistening calm Caribbean Sea where you can choose to swim or soak up the sun… or both! There will also be two beach bars nearby for refreshments and snacks. Breakfast Included / Dinner Included
Day 11: Bee’s & Honey, Permaculture & Milton Falls
Today we are going on a unique visit to a Bee apiary to learn all about the Bee’s. We will learn how bees are cared for, how to handle them properly, how to increase their hive populations and how they help in the production of food and resources. We will learn how they help to create and produce things such as lip balm, candles, deodorant and of course... Honey! As if learning about bees isn’t interesting enough, we get another treat today when we learn about permaculture. We will learn how it helps in sustainable land management and natural ecosystems that help guide farming practices. A perfect ending to this very special day will be an easy walk to view Milton Falls in Syndicate. Breakfast Included / Dinner Included
Day 12: Middleham Falls, TiTou Gorge & Bush Rum
Today we will go to the Morne Trois Piton National Park which also happens to be a UNESCO World Heritage site. Lush tropical vegetation surrounds you on this invigorating hike to Middleham Falls. This is the tallest waterfall on the island at an impressive 270 ft. The hike will take us through dense rainforest and muddy trails so be sure to pack your dirtiest hiking shoes. After the hike, we will enjoy a locally prepared lunch with a bush rum tasting while we get ready for our next adventure. Once at Ti Tou Gorge, you will get a chance to swim in the same location where a part of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed. We will finish our day in a relaxing warm mineral pool in the village of Wotton Waven, where you will get to enjoy some of the geothermal gifts Dominica has to offer us. It’s a spa day in nature! Day 13: Indian River Rowboat, Explore Portsmouth & Beach
Today we will have a nice leisurely breakfast by the beach before taking a rowboat ride up the Indian River to a rainforest Bush Bar. Have a drink, have a snack, soak in the sounds of the rainforest before heading back to town. The rest of the day will be free to explore Portsmouth, browse for souvenirs, try tasty dishes at nearby restaurants, or relax & swim at the beach. Spend your time however you want and enjoy your last day, your way. Later, we will go back to the hotel to get ready for our farewell dinner. Breakfast Included / Dinner Included
Day 14: Goodbye Dominica!
Today concludes our experience together but hopefully you come back soon to enjoy another one of our tours and discover more hidden gems in Dominica! Breakfast Included

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS
Changes by Participants
Since changes are considered canceled services, additional cancellation penalties may apply. Changes are subject to additional hotel charges based on availability and may incur additional fees. Changes to airfare are subject to the carrier’s Terms and Conditions and are not the obligation of FFCT.
If you are unable to complete the tour due to an inability to maintain the speed necessary to keep up with the tour group of participants, or due to any physical limitation, there shall be no refunds owed if you are unable or prevented from completing the tour.
Cancellation
As described above, FFCT is required to pay certain suppliers well in advance of your tour date. This includes but is not limited to hotel accommodations, meals, entrance fees, transportation, etc. All suppliers have their own cancellation policies, which apply to your booking. Should a cancellation become necessary, please inform FFCT immediately in writing and request a written confirmation of your cancellation. Upon receipt, FFCT will follow industry procedures for any applicable refunds as outlined in the supplier’s terms and conditions and subject to their review. If you are entitled to a refund, please note that the supplier is responsible for this refund, not FFCT. Likewise, we are not responsible for a supplier’s failure to pay a refund, their insolvency or bankruptcy.
In addition to the terms of our suppliers, refunds for any monies paid to FFCT will be refundable for cancellations per the cancellation table below, less any non-refundable payments/deposits made by FFCT to our Suppliers. Also deducted from the net refundable amount will be any adjustments for room rate changes created by the cancellation (i.e., double to single, etc.) NO REFUNDS, for any reason will be paid for cancellations received 45 days or less from the departure date.
Since FFCT will pay certain deposits and costs to suppliers prior to the date of travel, FFCT will assess the following cancellation charges as follows:

If the reason for cancellation is covered under the terms of your travel protection plan you may be able to reclaim these charges, for this reason FFCT requires the purchase of a travel protection plan including additional “cancel for any reason” coverage.
Airline tickets are governed by the air carriers’ terms, and we are not responsible for any air carrier’s decision regarding refund.
Cancellation or Changes by FFCT
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any departure for any reason. If we cancel, except in the case of a force majeure event, we will offer alternate arrangements. We may at our sole discretion offer travel vouchers or refunds in accordance with the cancellation schedule above. Participants are responsible for any additional costs for air tickets or other travel arrangements not made by us.
If between planning time and/or during actual travel, circumstances require changes, FFCT and its suppliers, reserve the right to cancel or vary any itinerary and substitute components of any tour, including but not limited to hotels and accommodations of comparable quality, if air schedule or surface transportation charges, security matters, and/or other events make such alterations necessary. Suppliers may substitute transportation equipment depending on any variety of factors, including the volume of passengers on the tour. FFCT cannot be held responsible for any closures, necessary itinerary changes, or curtails for any reason. These changes will not be considered material changes and will not be considered cause for cancellation by the participant. Normal cancellation penalties still apply to the tour that has been changed.
NO REFUND FOR UNUSED ARRANGEMENTS. As FFCT prices are based on contract rates, there will not be any refund for any unused portion of a travel booking. If you cancel while the tour is in progress, there is no refund for the unused portion.
